Luxe salon launched its website and mobile app last Friday.
Over the weekend, the company had 130 downloads of the free app.
The salon has been open since November 9, 2013.
A spokesperson said: “The salon has exceeded expectations, and takes pride in its community programmes and discounts for seniors.
I tried it out on my iPad Mini and there were plenty of pluses, as well as one minus.
The app was created through ‘mobile’ which has developed many digital designs for thousands of customers.
There is much to like about it. The ‘click-to-call’ function makes it easy for users to book an appointment.
The ‘Our Team’ is a solid touch and the salon pairs it well with social networking site Vimeo to produces videos of the stylists in action.
The ‘Gallery’ section has dozens of photo showing various sides of cuts and other shots within the Luxe salon.
The app also features a mobile loyalty card so there will be no fumbling around in your person or wallet to try to find it after you’ve had a service there.
You will also be able to check out services and pricing from your mobile device.
While easy to use, the one annoying part of the app was I kept getting pop-ups for other apps like Bakery Story or Restaurant Story. While it was only a slight bother to click away from it to get back to Luxe’s app, the problem was it happened multiple times while using it. n
