Share your views on National Sports Policy Framework

The Ministry of Community, Culture and Sports and the National Sports Governing Bodies (NSGB) have developed a National Sports Policy Framework that is available for the public to review and comment. The Department of Youth Sport and Recreation in conjunction with the NSGB have been working on the creation of a Sports Policy to be voted and ratified at the National Sports Conference in mid-February.

The group have identified several key goals to reinvigorate efforts to build a national sports programme where everyone can have access to affordable, high-quality community sports facilities; sports is more widely enjoyed and available; world class performance is achieved and sustained; Bermuda continues to host world class sport events and local sporting talent is nurtured and recognized.

The full document is available online at www.gov.bm and the deadline for written submissions is January 27, 2014. Submission can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to National Sports Policy, c/o Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation, Craig Appin House, 8 Wesley Street, Hamilton HM 11
