Attorney General clarifies Sunday liquor sale law

The Attorney-General and Minister of Legal Affairs, the Hon. Mark Pettingill JP MP, this afternoon clarified that the sale of liquor on Sundays became law on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 when it was assented to by His Excellency the Governor, Mr. George Fergusson.

Current holders of Licence A liquor licences do not need further permission from the Bermuda Liquor Licensing Authority to sell liquor on Sundays. The only case in which a Licence A holder would be required to seek further permission from the Liquor Licensing Authority would be if their licence expressly states limitations as to permitted hours.
