Three more Bermuda athletes qualified for the Carifta Games at the weekend’s track and field meet at the National Sports Centre.
Kyrah Scraders (800m), Daniel Oatley (3,000m) and Dage Minors (800m) — who is competing overseas — achieved the times required, meaning the Bermuda team currently stands at six.
Tiara Derosa also achieved the qualifying standard in the shot put, throwing 12.60m with the standard set at 11.83m. She had already qualified for the discus event at the first trials the previous weekend.
Sakari Famous and Jahnai Perinchief (both under-18 high jump) have also already made the Carifta benchmark.
At the weekend, Scraders qualified in the 800m in a time of 2 minutes 16.69 seconds, with the standard set at 2min 17 sec. Daniel Oatley, meanwhile, completed the 3,000m in a time of 9min 47.07sec with the qualifying standard at 10min.
