Allied World Bermuda recently purchased and donated wheelchairs from Medical House, Ltd. to healthcare organizations throughout the island. Medical House was founded in 1995 and is a business that helps offer comfort and quality of life to the ill and elderly, by providing reliable services and equipment at fair and competitive prices. Lorraine Rest Home, Matilda Smith Williams Seniors Residence, the Dialysis Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Francis Telford Nursing Home were the recipients of the wheelchairs. Several employees and residents from the various organizations came to Allied World’s office at 27 Richmond Road in Hamilton to meet direct with the Allied World Bermuda charity committee.

Kirsten Beasley, Chief Operations Officer at Allied World Bermuda commented, “We were so pleased to be able to provide these critically needed wheelchairs for seniors in our community. Moreover, we had a wonderful afternoon meeting with several of the staff and residents who will benefit from this donation. Our philanthropic initiatives continue to remain an important part of our corporate culture and we are proud to partner with numerous charities on island to fund meaningful projects like this.”
