The Bank of NT Butterfield & Son Limited announced that during the month of March, 2014, it purchased for Treasury 1,657,707 Common Shares at an average price of $1.982 per share.

That works out to $3,285,527.27.

In addition, in March, the Bank did not purchase any 8% Preference Shares for cancellation. 

Spear gets Willis VP slot

Willis Group Holdings announced the appointment of David Spear, Vice President, Senior Health Care Broker, Willis. He will be based in Bermuda. 

XL results

XL Group plc said it intends to release its First Quarter 2014 results after the close of regular stock market trading hours on Thursday, May 1, 2014. 

Hiscox appointments

Hiscox Re has continued to strengthen its senior management team with the appointments of Reeva Bakhshi as CFO and Paresh Thakrar as COO.

 As chief financial officer, Reeva Bakhshi will be based in Hiscox’s Bermuda office. Paresh Thakrar, who joined Hiscox in 2013 as head of Strategy and Business Analysis from McKinsey and company, will now take the role of COO and will be based in London.
