What little girl wouldn’t want to have Cinderella show up at her party?

Lisa Bishop’s Party With a Princess has been bringing joy across Bermuda for the past year.

She told the Bermuda Sun: “I came up with the idea because I always wanted to be a Disney princess when I was younger and I never had the opportunity to do it, so I decided to do it now.”

She said the response has been positive. “The children are fascinated with it and they can’t believe a princess has come from a far away land to visit them on their birthday. Most of the time they’re speechless when the princess comes to their party.”

Ms Bishop stressed all five of the characters she has available to book — The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Princess Belle, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty — are from the fairy tale and not on any Disney trademarked name.

The costumes are all hand-made.

“They are not something you will find in a Hallowe’en store.”

She said while at the party, the princess will read books, sing, dance and teach them how to curtsey.

She said they are also available to do tea parties and it is primarily aimed at girls three to seven-years-old.

She said parents can also book more than one princess for the party.

“This is a lot of fun. And the reception from these young kids is what makes me smile.

“They believe dreams can come true and we bring that to them.”
