Joe Simas is the Vice President of Marine Operations for the Meyer group of companies.

Meyer Agencies handle up to 90 per cent of all vessel calls in Bermuda and he’s worked for the firm for 23 years. The devoted family man handles all types of ocean going craft from cargo vessels to super tankers and cruise liners to private motor yachts.

And he is responsible for coordinating many of the ‘med-evacs’ that occur off our shores when sick seamen are brought into Bermuda for treatment. He is in regular contact with all the big cruise lines to ensure everything is in place for ship arrivals, and recently oversaw the Norwegian Breakaway’s maiden voyage into Bermuda.
