If you love fresh, local ingredients and want to experience some Bermudian culinary talent then why not attend one of three food demos taking place this Saturday at the Bermuda Gas kitchens.
Up-and-coming chef Ashley Tucker will be creating tasty treats including nutritional ‘Greenies’ and ‘Berry Blend’ smoothies as well as a ‘Five-Colour Salsa’ with tortilla chips, using KitchenAid portable appliances. There will be demonstrations at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm followed by Q&As.
The demos have been organized by Bermuda Gas who hope to “help launch Ashley on to the Bermudian stage”. Ascendent marketing manager Cynthia Wright, who selected Tucker for the demo, told the Bermuda Sun: “A month ago, we decided to get Ashley to come in and do a tasting for some of the management staff and we agreed that what she did was excellent. We were thrilled that she used fresh, local ingredients and that she cared about the quality and nutritional analysis of the food.”
There will be 15 per cent discount on all KitchenAid appliances as part of the Bermuda Gas promo. There will also be door prizes and giveaways for guests. Dunkley’s will be offering samples of their new drinks including Coconut SoBe Lifewater and there will be an opportunity to enter a competition to win a trip to South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Bermuda Gas is at 25 Serpentine Road, Pembroke.
