Knockout blows

The Logic Championship Knockout began at the weekend, with St. David’s, Southampton Rangers and Cleveland County all progressing.

The match between Willow Cuts and Bailey’s Bay was called off because of a sub-standard pitch.

Rangers moved into the semi-final without a ball being bowled as Somerset failed to get a team together.

St. David’s overcame Western Stars by six wickets, reaching their victory target of 91 with little trouble at Lord’s. For the home side, Pitcher took four for 22 and George O’Brien Jr lead the chase with 32.

Cleveland brushed past St George’s in an eight-wicket win over St George’s at the Wellington Oval. Top performers for Cleveland were Shakai Darrell (6-0-29-5) and Treadwell Gibbons Jr (39no).
