The new Somers Isles rolled into Hamilton with a full shipment of containers for the first time yesterday.
She previously stopped into the capital just over a week ago to pick up the empty containers from her predecessor before taking them to her new homeport in Fernandina Beach in Florida.
The container vessel will leave Bermuda this morning and head back to Florida in preparation for her next trip.
She’ll be replaced on Hamilton Docks by the Bermuda Islander when she arrives tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile the 2013 cruise season is beginning to wind up.
The Explorer of the Seas is back in Dockyard today for two nights on her penultimate trip to Bermuda of the year.
This week is also the penultimate visit of the Norwegian Dawn.
The Dawn joins the Grandeur of the Seas up in West End on Sunday with both ships stopping in Bermuda for two nights.
