New arts and crafts store to open in Dockyard

Hand Made Bermuda will officially open its location this weekend, giving customers the best in local arts and crafts.

The new business is owned by Andrea Moniz and Jan Quinn and will be located in the Clocktower Mall in Dockyard. It was set up after Ms Moniz was made redundant at her job and Ms Quinn wanted to do something different.

Ms Moniz specialises in body, foot and face scrubs while Ms Quinn makes sea glass jewellery.

After meeting at various markets across the island, they decided to pair up and open their business at a set location instead of selling at markets.

Besides sea glass jewellery and body scrubs, the shop will carry a variety of other Bermuda hand-made goods, including jams and knitted items.

It will also have a craft supply section.

The grand opening is Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. 

There will also be giveaways and many artists will be there to discuss their work.
