Four of Bermuda’s well-loved artists are to open a show on Sunday called Oil, Water & Wood.
Christopher Grimes, Jonah Jones, Christopher Marson and Chesley Trott, who all work out of the Bermuda Art Centre at Dockyard, present the
Second Annual Studio Artist Show.
The ‘Oil’ segment of the show includes the work of Christopher Grimes and Jonah Jones.
They are two oil painters with two different approaches to the canvas — Grimes leans towards the quieter old Bermuda scene, while Jones throws colour to the wind, capturing the lights and darks of boats and tranquil harbours.
Christopher Marson, who is established as one of the islands foremost watercolour artists, proves that watercolours can be bold and descriptive.
Chesley Trott, pictured, has been with the Arts Centre since it was established in 1984.
He offers an array of Bermuda cedar works, covering everything from toys to sculptures.
The show opens on
Sunday at 5:30pm.
All four Artists will be on hand at the opening to chat about their works. It runs until November 23. n
