Due to the security arrangements of the World Cup Trophy event which is being held at Camden, the official residence of the Premier, the Department of Parks will close the eastern section of Botanical Gardens from 8 pm tonight Tuesday the 8th October until 6 pm Wednesday the 9th October 2013.
The grounds will be closed to the general public from the Visitor Centre to all the eastern property inclusive of the Camden House, Masterworks Museum and the south lawn.
Staff from the Department of Parks, security officers from Security Associates Limited, and members of the Bermuda Police Service will be involved in monitoring use of the property and directing persons as required.
The Department of Parks would like to advise members of the public to adhere to the closures as only invited guests and those with passes will be permitted to attend the event at Camden House or be permitted in this zone.
Invited guests attending the function at Camden House must enter Botanical Gardens through the Berry Hill road entrance in order to be directed to the designated parking and then to the security check in point.
The western section of the grounds will be open to the general public as normal.
The Peace Lutheran Gate on South Shore will be the entrance and exit for the general public as well as those conducting business with the Department of Environmental Protection.
The consideration of the general public is greatly appreciated.
