We’re celebrating a big-hitter this week — or at least that’s what this cricketer was snapped doing years ago.
Check out the picture to the right and see if you can remember who the players are and who was playing who?
Were you there or did you know the people photographed? Even better -— do you know the result from the game?
If you can unlock any of this from the darkest areas of your memory, then we want to hear from you and what you remember from the day.
Simply email [email protected] with your thoughts and the best ones will be published in the Sun next Friday.
Last time out, we published an old triathlon picture and asked for details on who it was and what teams were featured.
It featured Clark Tear handing off to Tracy Wright in the team competition in 1994 at the SunLife Triathlon.
Harry Pratchett emailed: “Not sure who the cyclist is but it’s the transition stage from bike to run in the team triathlon and the runner who is about to set off is Tracy Wright, no mean cyclist himself!
“Could have been the days when the event was held at Morgan’s Point when the US Navy were in residence. Changeover in the event was done by a touch of hands.”
Mark Morrison added: “I’m sure that is me in the middle of the shot starting my watch.
“I remember being looked after and shepherded by the likes of Jeremy Ball, Brett Forgesson and Andrew Doble (all in this pic) Such great memories!”
Dyrone Minors was also an interested spectator, recalling: “It’s Clark and Wright, year I don’t know.
“I won it 85, 86 and 2005.”
Thanks also to Jamal Hart for his contribution.
Keep the correspondence coming in.
