“One of the things we’ve been focusing on in Northeast Hamilton is beautification. Over the last four years we’ve been making efforts in enhancing the experience of the residents, the business owners and the visitors.”

This from Roxanne Christopher, who said that has paid off with great help from organizations like KBB and HSBC.

Ms Christopher said: “People love the murals we’ve put on the northern side of Jamaican Grill earlier this year. It’s been amazing the feedback and the amount of visitors who have come to see this mural.

Crazy

“When we first came up with the idea, some people thought I was a little bit crazy, but it has brought together all ages, all demographics in celebrating our international football heroes.

“It’s been starting conversations. People will come out there, get some food from Jamaican Grill and be talking about sports in the parking lot. They will fellowship and celebrate the best of what Bermuda has to offer. Northeast Hamilton is like a canvas for doing that.”
