• On other networks, here are some new shows making their debut this month:
• The Drama Queen — Sundays at 11pm on E!:
This new reality series, which debuted last Sunday, takes you behind the scenes of how Hollywoood stars are coached, branded and launched to celebrity. The show follows famed celebrity-maker and manager, Marki Costello, grand-daughter of comedian Lou Costello, and owner of the largest talent management firm in Los Angeles.
Marki is the creator of Hosting Bootcamp, and for over two decades she has put a number of now-famous TV hosts successfully through it.
She has also coached the likes of CeeLo Green and Kelly Osbourne. She's tough, she's loud, and she is brutally honest, but she knows what it takes to succeed in the cut-throat world of entertainment.
• Ground Floor — Premieres Thursday, November 14, at 11pm on TBS:
This new TBS comedy is about a budding romance between a super-rich investment banker, Brody (played by Skylar Astin), and Jenny (played by Briga Heelan), who works in the same building, but downstairs, in maintenance. The show, created by Bill Lawrence, of Cougar Town fame, debuts with two episodes airing back-to-back. The sneak previews looked very funny.
• Atlantis — Premieres Saturday, November 23 at 10pm, on BBC America:
This new 13-part fantasy drama series debuts right after the encore of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special The Day of the Doctor.
Atlantis, filmed in Wales and Morocco, and drawing on Greek mythology for inspiration, promises to provide a fresh look at the Lost City, and has at its heart a coming of age tale of a boy named Jason, played by Jack Donnelly (Dancing on the Edge), who sets out to search for his missing father and solve the mysteries of his past.
It all unfolds in a world rich with magic, teeming with strange beasts, mythical creatures and political intrigue. Howard Overman (Merlin, Misfits), is executive producer of the series.
