Branson’s private island powered by Digicel

Sir Richard Branson’s private island, Necker, is now powered by Digicel Business.

The agreement comes as a result of a fire that took place on the island in 2011 – which temporarily left it without any connectivity to the outside world.

Digicel BVI Business Solutions Manager, Matthew Drum, said: “We were delighted to be able to deliver on that commitment with our tailored solutions for Necker Island, including implementing state of the art technologies such as Multi Point Label Switching (MPLS), Direct Internet Access (DIA) as well as Data Replication and Recovery services.”
