Can the Celebrities get their revenge?
The Festival is designed to celebrate community-based youth cricket and to raise money for the BCB National Academy.
This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, June 8, at the National Sports Centre, North Field.
The eight-and-under league, bouncy castle and games get under way at 9:30am, while there is a free BBQ lunch and T-shirt stall opens from midday.
The Celebrities v The 11-and-Under All Star Team begins at 1pm.
The Celebrities include: Premier Craig Cannonier, Governor Fergusson and Mrs. Fergusson,
Deputy Premier Michael Dunkley, Minister of Community and Cultural Development Wayne Scott, Minister of the Environment Sylvan Richards, US Consulate General, Bob Settje, Hiscox CEO, Jeremy Pinchin, Tyler and Spencer Butterfield, Power Girl, Nadanja Bailey, Jay and Justin Donowa, Mikeala Pearman, Nikita Robinson, DVario Thompson, Bruce Barritt and Bermuda cricket captain Stephen Outerbridge.
There will be free children’s entertainment during the day including face painting, tattooing, bouncy castle, sports games and slide. Lunch and free t-shirts will be provided for the first 350 to attend.
Jeremy Pinchin, chief executive officer, Hiscox Bermuda said in a press release: “We are extremely proud to continue our support of youth cricket and delighted to be hosting the fifth Hiscox Under-11 Celebrity Cricket Festival.
“With the U11s leading the annual contest by 3-1, the celebrities are thirsting for revenge and have recruited some top celebrities and cricketers in the reinsurance industry to up the ante.
“We hope the community will come out and celebrate a great occasion for youth cricket and enjoy the family festivities.”
