St George’s Harbour has been bustling with yachts, tall ships and even the odd motor yacht this week.
It’s that time of year when dozens of crews stop into the Old Town on their way across the Atlantic for a summer in the Mediterranean.
Meanwhile the luxurious looking Mi Sueno motor yacht took pride of place off Ordnance Island and the tall ship SSV Corwith Cramer was alongside at Penno’s Wharf.
Elsewhere this week it’s a tale of container ships and cruise liners.
The Norwegian Dawn and the Explorer of the Seas left Dockyard yesterday. They will be replaced by the Norwegian Breakaway and the Celebrity Summit this morning.
This weekend the Explorer of the Seas and the Dawn are back again in the West End again.
But a serious fire onboard the Grandeur of the Seas means that her scheduled trip, which involved the ship arriving in Bermuda on Sunday, has been cancelled.
The Somers Isles leaves Hamilton today and will be replaced by the Bermuda Islander tomorrow. Finally the Oleander gets into the capital on Sunday afternoon. n
