Bermudian singer/songwriter Bailey Outerbridge will be opening for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icons The Beach Boys at an annual benefit concert in Stamford, CT on June 1, 2013. Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford will once again host the annual gala benefit for Dana’s Angels Research Trust (DART) at the Palace Theatre in downtown Stamford.
Outerbridge will be singing a duet with another young singer, Caroline Jones. This will be Outerbridge’s second performance at a DART benefit; last year she sang a song she wrote before Natalie Cole took the stage for her concert.
Music has been part of Outerbridge’s life since her youngest years. In her hometown of Princeton, NJ, Bailey has sung with the Princeton Girlchoir, studied piano at Westminster Conservatory, performed in various regional and school theatrical productions, and at 13 sang a solo with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.
In 2010, Outerbridge professionally recorded her first two songs, "Circus" and "Drop of Poison," the former with help from seasoned musicians Andy Newmark, Felix Krish and Anthony Krizan. In 2011 she released another song, “All a Blur,” for Bermuda’s Ride the Wave 2 album.
Last year Outerbridge’s cover of “Revolution” was included in the Bermuda John Lennon Tribute album and charity concert, where she performed alongside Maxi Priest, Judy Tzuke, and other Bermudian artists on the album.
Outerbridge is currently recording songs for her first demo album and preparing for a July 19th solo concert in Bermuda, where she will be accompanied by veteran musicians TJ Tindall, Shane Keister, Krizan and others.
DART benefit tickets start at $350 and are available at www.danasangels.org. Concert-only tickets ($50 and up) may be purchased directly through the Stamford Center for the Arts Box Office at www.scalive.org or by calling (203) 325-4486. All proceeds benefit DART.
DART, a 501 (c)(3) organization with strictly charitable purposes, was founded by Phil and Andrea Marella to fund medical research, medical education, or medical or hospital care for the treatment and/or cure of Niemann-Pick Type C disease (NPC) or other similar diseases.
