Registration open for Capital G Iron Kids Triathlon

Registration is now open for the 25th Annual Capital G Iron Kids Triathlon, which is Saturday, 15 June at Clearwater Beach in St. David’s.

Kids ages 3 – 14 are invited to participate with a chance to swim, bike and run to win up to $1,000 in scholarship funds. There will also be a carnival filled with fun castles, face painting and food. A draw for a 50CC Motor bike courtesy of Bermuda Motors & Island Cycles, two round trip airline tickets provided by Jet Blue, two Apple iPod Touch offered by Gateway Systems Limited, as well as other sponsor prizes will follow the awards ceremony.

There are two ways to register – online or in person. In person registration may be completed at the following locations:

• Capital G Bank (161 South Road, Paget Plaza)

• Sportseller in Washington Mall

• Bicycle Works, 13 Tumpkins Lane in Pembroke

Registration for Tiny Tots, ages 3-6 is $8. Registration for all other participants, ages 7-14 is $15.

Register early for a chance to win additional prizes! All registrations received by 5pm on Friday, 7 June will be entered into a draw for two custom fit bicycles courtesy of Bicycle Works. Final registration closes at 5pm on Thursday, 13 June.

The Triathlon race details are as follows:

Boys & Girls (Ages 11-14)
• 200 meter swim
• 5 mile bike
• 1 mile run

Boys & Girls (Ages 7-10)
• 100 meter swim
• 2.5 mile bike
• 0.5 mile run

Tiny Tots (Ages 3-6)
• 10 meter swim
• 250 meter bike
• 50 meter run
