Emma Ingham wins inaugural drawing and painting contest
Local artist Emma Ingham is the winner of the inaugural Drawing and Painting Competition with her line drawing Mr Riley.
The competition was launched by the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard and the opening for the exhibition took place at the weekend.
Christopher Dawson’s still life in oils took the People’s Choice Award while Vaughn Evans took second place, Gretchen Gurr this place and Sharon Wilson fourth place. A total of $9000 was awarded to the winners including the top priae of $5,000. Honourable Mentions were awarded to Christopher Dawson; Molly Godet; Mary-Ellen Smiley; Joe Smith; and Vanessa Turner.
The gallery’s Heidi Cowen said: “The amount of talent on our little Island is incredible. We invite everyone to come and see this top notch show.”
The paintings will remain for show in the Gallery until May 31.
