This month, viewers have two new networks to explore on the CableVision line-up: Biography Channel and SpaceTV. Both are offered in high-definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) formats.
Biography Channel
Biography Channel, or “Bio” for short, positions itself as being “about real people and their real lives: up close and personal, gritty and provocative, always unfiltered.”

• My Haunted House — New Series — Saturdays at 11pm:
This all-new series unveils some frightening eyewitness accounts of people whose dream homes have turned into nightmarish dens of paranormal activity. First-person interviews of the victims and well-crafted reenactments give these compelling stories life, with two different tales of horror featured in each episode.
• UFOs: Best Evidence Caught on Tape — Thursday, May 9, at 9pm; airs again at 10pm:
Tune in and see the most compelling video footage in existence of UFOs, collected from both amateur and professional photographers who captured these extraordinary moments in various locations around the world.
• My Ghost Story — Saturdays at 10pm:
This original series features shockingly true stories of the paranormal, told by the people who lived through them, and actually managed to catch them on camera.
• I Survived — Sundays at 10pm:
Each week, this series focuses on two or three real-life stories of people who found themselves in unbelievable or treacherous situations and lived to tell about them. New episodes include Taken Hostage by the Taliban; Abducted by a Neighbour; Faceless Intruder.

Space TV
This leading Canadian network, formerly known as “The Imagination Station,” features programming in the genre known as “phenomenal,” which encompasses science fiction, fantasy, horror and the paranormal.
Space produces lots of original programming, including films, documentaries and scripted series. Here’s a look at some of the network’s most popular shows.
• InnerSPACE — weeknights at 7pm:
This daily talk show is the network’s flagship production. It is hosted by Ajay Fry, Cynthia Loyst and Teddy Wilson, who take an entertaining look at film, television, technology, video games and anything else touching on the genre.
• Doctor Who — Saturdays at 9pm:
The world’s longest-running science fiction series will mark its 50th anniversary in November of this year. Until then, expect new adventures as the Doctor searches for and finds his companion, Clara, and together they battle monsters on distant alien planets and face the Crimson Horror in Victorian Yorkshire. This week, Dame Diana Rigg guest-stars on the show.
• Orphan Black — Saturdays at 10pm:
Tatiana Maslany plays the lead role of Sarah, who, after witnessing a suicide, assumes the dead woman’s identity, and soon finds herself in the middle of a kaleidoscopic mystery. She ultimately discovers that she and the dead woman are clones, but are they the only ones?
• Stargate SG –1 — weeknights at 9pm:
SG-1 is a team of soldiers and scientists, who travel instantaneously to other planets to build alliances, defuse crises, establish trade or investigate ancient mysteries, while defending Earth from hostile alien forces.
