Hot Cross buns are flying off the shelves at one bakery in Hamilton.

And it’s not to late to get your Hot Cross Bun fix.

Brunswick Bakery was filled to capacity this morning as dozens of customers came in an out of the shop for one thing- buns.

Walking towards the bakery from any street in the area, you could smell the sweet scent of buns in the air.

Some customers pre-ordered and were in and out in a flash.

Others didn’t and had to wait in line.

The buns are golden brown with a sweet glaze on the top.

They sell for $6 for half a dozen and $12 for a dozen.
