Good Friday is known for flying kites but will you be able to fly your kite this year?
The Bermuda Weather Service said that we should expect windy conditions over the weekend with showers here and there.
Lindsey Ryiz of the BWS gave us the Easter weekend weather forecast:
“For Friday we are looking for breezy conditions 20-25 knots from the northwest decreasing to 15-20 knots by the afternoon.
“Skies will be cloudy with one or two showers throughout the day.
“Temperatures will be on the cool side around 61F.”
She continued: “Saturday and into Sunday winds will gradually decrease 15-20 knots, becoming 10-15 knots by Sunday evening.
“Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of one or two showers Saturday, becoming partly cloudy by Sunday afternoon.”
Asked if this will be kite flying weather, Ms Ryiz said: “I am no expert in kite flying; however, initially winds may be too strong but conditions should improve by the afternoon on Friday and into the weekend as the winds ease.
“Conditions will continue to improve throughout the weekend. Any shower activity could bring stronger winds over the island.”
