Bermuda beat the Bahamas today in easy fashion at the ICC Americas Division 1 in Florida T20 Tournament.
Bermuda opened the batting and posted 168-3 to which Bahamas could only reply 145-7.
The victory means Bermuda has mathematically qualified for the next set of qualifiers for the T20 Worlds with a game left against Suriname on Sunday.
Janeiro Tucker once again led the batting with a splendid 79 not out in 48 balls. His innings saw him smash five 4’s and four 6’s. David Hemp was also in fine form with 53 runs off 49 balls. No other Bermuda batsman reached double figure but Lionel Cann was unbeaten on nine.
Both Malachi Jones and Greg Maybury took two wickets for Bermuda while Jacobi Robinson and Rodney Trott each took one wicket.
Earlier in the Tournament Bermuda thrashed Bahamas by 127 runs.
The top two in the final table go through to the next stage of Twenty World Cup qualifiers in Dubai on October. Bermuda are in the second spot.
