Inspiring moments / Never Leave You

Meditation

Isaiah 43:5: “Fear not, for I am with you.”

There were times when anxiety was filling my mind like a never-ending cycle of running water.

It was like my heart was racing like it was in a marathon trying to win first place.

Panic was hitting me like a strong blowing wind.

In the middle of the storm and in the sea of disbelief, a quick reaction of fear escapes from people struggling from day to day.

Fear tells us that we are all alone and there is no way out. We give in to the lies of fear and respond to the lie, taking action and making a mess of things.

Over and over God tells us, “Fear not, for I am with you.”

God is with you! God is with me!

Having God with us, we have nothing to fear.

The stormy seas may be raging and our insecurities may be speaking, but even in the midst of it the Price of Peace is here to calm our hearts and give us shelter from the blowing wind.

When one gives in to fear they can be like a running Jonah walking in disobedience to God.

Sometimes it’s like we are distracted once we step out in faith and begin to sink like Peter by taking our eyes off Jesus.

All that is happening in this world today, Satan wants to bring fear.

Fear is destructive. Fearful hearts run, hide, disobey and turn away from the faith and trust in God we must have.

This scripture reminds us of what we can do when we are anxious.

Philippians 4: 6Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Pray

Prayer is one of the most important tools for believers.

The Apostle Paul encourages us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to: “Pray without ceasing.”

Prayer is powerful and effective. There are different kinds of prayer. There have been times when singing a song has been the prayer from my heart and there have been times I have read the word as a prayer and prayed scriptures from the word.

Supplication

Whatever we need we can ask the Father.

God in His word promises to supply all our needs. Sometimes all we have to do is just ask.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7: 7, 8 to: “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

When we are anxious or afraid we can humbly ask God to give us peace.

We can ask Him to help us with and guide us in whatever we are anxious about.

Thanksgiving

When we pray and give our supplication to God we can give thanks to God that He has already worked it out.

We can thank Him for moving on our behalf. No matter what the situation is we can give thanks because He is with us and will never leave us.

The Apostle Paul encourages us again in verse 18 of 1 Thessalonians 5: “In every thing give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Being obedient to God’s word in praying, giving supplication to Him with thanksgiving will give us God’s peace that will keep our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.  (Philippians 4: 7)

Prayer

Dear God, I thank you for always being with me. Help me to trust you when I am afraid. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
