Iain Doig was the top professional after the first day of the Bermuda Open at Port Royal.
Canadian Doig posted a great round of 73 (two-over par) in tough conditions and despite suffering from the flu.
Claude Grenier, currently tied with Eric West, led for the majority of the day until Doig knocked him off top spot.
Scott Barnett leads the amateurs by seven on his home course of Port Royal whilst 16-year-old Cory DeSilva, the youngest player in the tournament, is not far behind.
