Researcher to give lecture on humpback whales
Humpback whale researcher Andrew Stevenson will be giving a lecture on his latest findings on Tuesday.
Proceeds will go towards funding the Humpback Whale Research Foundation established last December.
It is the first lecture Mr Stevenson has held since the completion of his documentary Where The Whales Sing and the accompanying book Whale Song: Journeys into the Secret Lives of the North Atlantic Humpbacks.
The presentation will include never-before-seen HD underwater footage of humpback behaviour and will give an update on patterns that Mr Stevenson says are slowly revealing themselves.
Mr Stevenson’s research involves identifying whales by their unique fluke (tail) patterns.
The lecture starts at 6:30pm and will be repeated at 8:30pm. Tickets are $25 and are available from bdatix.bm
