‘Harlem Umbrella’ dance shakes up City Hall

A group of young Bermudians did their version of the latest internet craze at City Hall.

Last weekend, Facebook group Bermemes hosted their version at Jobson’s Cove.

There were snorkelers, giant inflatable Gosling’s bottles, Bermuda flags and a man dressed from head to toe in a lime green leotard.

Organiser for this week’s event Eston Rawlins said: “Right now, we are doing the Harlem Shake with the Gangnam Style and we’re calling it umbrella style.

“Basically, what we're doing is we got as many people as we could do to dance to the music.

“When the beat kicks in, we’re going to bring in everybody and bring in the props to make it look energetic on a rainy day.”
