Sport shorts: More woe for Davis Cup team and much more
Bermuda’s men’s tennis team lost for the third straight day in the Davis Cup Americas Zone Group III, losing 3-0 to the Bahamas to swiftly follow defeats to Costa Rica and Panama.
Gavin Manders, Na’im Azhar and doubles team Jenson Bascome and Phillip Cooper all lost in straight sets.
Lewis bags secondParalympian Jessica Lewis came second in the T53 100m wheelchair race at the 2013 Canadian Track & Field Championships, clocking a time of 19.47.
Charity football match
The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity are hosting the Third Annual Bascome/Lowe Charity Football Classic on Friday.
The game will take place at 5:30pm at National Stadium’s North Field. All charities can win up to $1,000. Simply bring 10 or more of your members, wear the colour of the fraternity you support (red for Kappas and gold or yellow for Alphas) and enter the draw.
Fitness camp

Play like Brazil
The Bermuda Brazilian Football School will run camps from July 8-12 and July 15-19 for children aged seven to 16 at the Goose Gosling Field.
