Duffy, who has represented Bermuda at the last two Olympic Games in Beijing and London as a triathlete, was the fastest woman across the finish line with a time of 1:08.36.
Despite cruising to victory, the 25-year-old did not feel as well as she could have, telling the Daily Camera: “This is the first triathlon I’ve done since November.
“The first race back always hurts like heck. I had a great swim. Pretty mediocre bike. The run was OK. It was a hard day for me. It didn’t feel as comfortable hard as it should’ve been. It was just me hanging on all day.”
It was still a solid win for Duffy and hopefully a sign of things to come ahead of a packed summer.
