Dominique Mayho edged Shannon Lawrence to win the RMS National Road Race Cycling National Championship Sunday morning at Southside.
Mayho, who defended his national title successfully, finished the course in 0.266 of a second faster than Lawrence.
Darren Glasford was third followed by Alan Mooney and Neil de ste Croix.
The grueling race conditions saw 14 of the 52 competitors unable to finish in the Open Male category.
Karen Bordage took the Female Open title, crossing the line 7.3 seconds ahead of runner-up Zoenique Williams. Laurie Orchard was third, April Galda-Joyce fourth and Karen Smith fifth.
Deshi Smith won the Junior Male category in a sprint finish over Justin Ferreira, Nico Barclay, Nathanial Hartwig and Shomari Steede rounded out the top five.
Gabriella Arnold had a commanding victory in the Junior Female category as Kamryn Minors finished nearly three minutes behind her. Victoria Davis was third and Alyssa Rowse fourth.
The National Time Trial Championships is scheduled for next Sunday.
