Entrepreneur brings Bermuda directly to cruise tourists

One Bermudian entrepreneur is doing his best to be a Bermudian ambassador to cruise ship visitors.

Chris’t’ian Swan said he has partnered with Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Voyages of Discovery. 

“I’ve started the iConcierge programme with them.

“I’m right on board (the ships) so I’m right at the forefront to present Bermuda to them.”

The i stands for Information, which he says is something cruise passengers are seeking as they get ready to explore. 

He said most tourists are looking for  a Bermuda map or simple directions as they get off the ship.

“I take all my Bermuda stuff on board such as maps, or a Bermuda.com Guide.”

He said the passengers love being able to get help right on the ship without having to wander around trying to find things themselves. 

Mr Swan the land-based portion of the business is going to various businesses to learn about what they have to offer so he can tell the cruise ship guests. 

“I need to introduce myself to all the businesses and make myself known and understand their concept and bring them on board.”

He said he can then act on behalf of those companies on the ship.
