If you’ve ever been frustrated trying to do a handyman job at home with the wrong tool, Baptiste is here to help you out.
The company is having a series of demonstrations on Saturday at its Khyber Pass location in Warwick.
Sacha Bearden, CEO and owner, said: “We have some vendors coming down to demonstrate some hardware and tools. I have a local guy who is quite the Kreg Jigs Expert who will do some demos for us. He has built have his boat with his Kreg Jigs and he has kitted out his truck.
Ms Bearden said: “This is a really cool tool and it’s fast.”
Also, a representative from Mikita will be on hand. Ms Bearden said the power tool company is seeking to have a bigger presence in the Bermuda market and this was just one step it was taking to ensure that it happens.
She added Nobel’s Automotive would also be showing people the basics of car maintenance.
“Things you can do yourself and we have the tools here at Baptiste to help you with that.
“The power tool guys love taking a hammer drill to a concrete block and put a hole in it or take a grinder to a piece of metal — put your hands on the big tools and use them.”
“You think there’s an electric drill but there’s cordless and corded — but there’s also impact drills, hammer drills. We’ll demonstrate what torque and wait do to the drill. You’ll be able to see the difference between a $59.95 drill and a $500 drill. Not surprising there’s a big difference.
There will be opportunities for people to win tools and other giveaways.
