Fantasy Island Weekend is back this year with four events sure to fulfill your fantasy — whatever it is.

Last year, DJ Private Ryan, DJ Magic and Stone Love flew in to play at three distinctly different parties.

This year, Private Ryan and DJ Magic are back to inject some fun and good music into the weekend.

The parties will start on June 14 and end on June 16 — National Heroes holiday weekend.

Keidric Smith of Party People BDA is promoting and organizing the events and explained what will go down that weekend.

“Fantasy Island Weekend will be a three day, four event extravaganza.

“Last year we hosted three parties at Whites Island with each night focused on different musical genres.

“This year we have decided to host each event at various locations across the island and give them their own theme.”

He continued: “ Freaks on the Beach will be the first event which will take place at Chaplin Bay Beach on June 14.

“Returning for the event will be DJ Magic from New York’s Hott 97 radio, along side Twin Starr and DJ Rusty G, who will be playing the best in hip hop, reggae, and a touch of soca.”

Tickets for the event are $60 in advance and $70 at the door. This cost includes an open bar provided by Gosling’s. Food will be available from Jamaican Grill (not included in the ticket price). Premium alcohol is $10 more per ticket.

Paradise

The first event on Saturday is Paradise, a day time beach party at Chaplin Bay.

Smith said the party will go from 2pm to 8pm.

“We will provide the music and the Gosling’s Rum, and patrons can bring their towel and the fun.

“Music will be provided by Selecta Fray, DJ Aztec and DJ Imega, playing whatever keeps the vibes flowing.”

Admission for Paradise is $6 with the purchase of any other event ticket and $25 at the door.

Food will be available for purchase, again provided by Jamaican Grill.

Fantasy Island, the third event will be held on an island on the Saturday night from 10pm until 3am.

“Returning for the event will be the self proclaimed, ‘Worlds most versatile DJ’, DJ Private Ryan.

“Alongside him on the bill will be D’General, Selecta Fray, and YGS Entertainment, playing the best in Top 40 and Soca.”

Ferry shuttles to the party will leave from  Darrell’s Wharf.

They will leave every 30 minutes from 10pm to 1am. Another boat will arrive at 12am to make two runs to get people to the island.

Boats will depart the island starting at 2:30am. Tickets for the event are $60 in advance and at $70 at the dock including an open bar. Jamaican Grill will once more be selling food. Premium drink tickets are $10 more.

The final event is Atlantis, a day time cruise onboard the Uber Vida from 2pm to 6:30pm.

Smith said: “The boat will leave from No 1 dock and anchor off at Paradise Lake where patrons can go swimming, and listen to the sounds of Top 40 and Soca provided by D’General and YGS Entertainment.

“Patrons can bring their own booze (glass bottles will not be allowed), alcohol will be sold on the boat and finger foods will be
provided.”

Asked why the ticket prices include open bars, Smith said: “When you go to Trinidad for Carnival or Jamaica for Appleton Treasure Island Weekend, patrons are accustomed to what is known as drinks inclusive and all inclusive events — free food, free drinks.

“This is something that Bermudians are not accustomed to and we want to bring this element to the island.

“Some people look at the price and say that may be a little pricey but when you think about it, you can go to Snorkel Park at a quality event and pay $40 at the door, and buy two drinks and have already spent roughly $52-$56.

“This is before you buy a drink for your friend/friends, plus tips.

“A night out could easily be $100 plus, so we want to make it more cost effective for individuals to come out and have a good time.”

Tickets can be purchased from Makin’ Waves or Party People Promoters, with limited tickets sold at the doors.
