Tankers to top up fuel supply
A trio of tankers are headed to Bermuda this coming week to replenish the island’s fuel supply.
The first fuel injection will take place this Sunday when the Chemtrans Ems arrives in the East End.
She will siphon off gasoline for Rubis at the Oil Docks before heading up to Dockyard to deliver diesel.
The tanker is expected to leave the island on Tuesday.
Shortly afterwards the Elka Angelique and the Nord Princess will stop into the Oil Docks to supply more fuel for Esso and BELCO.
Meanwhile all three container ships are in this week to provide supplies for Cup Match.
The Oleander arrived on Monday and was followed by the Somers Isles yesterday.
Today the Bermuda Islander sailed into Hamilton — a day earlier than usual — so the Cup Match supplies arrived in the shops on time.
Cruise ships
The Norwegian Breakaway and Celebrity Summit are also due into Dockyard this morning.
Finally the Norwegian Dawn is the sole cruise arrival this weekend, when she gets in on Sunday morning.
