The Grandeur of the Seas was back in Bermuda this week for the first time since fire devastated the vessel.

But not everyone who had hoped to be on board the liner as she travelled to Bermuda was able to make the journey.

Cruise Critic reported that dozens of passengers had to be bumped from the voyage due to unfinished repairs.

The website also revealed that as many as 26 passengers had been bumped twice from the Grandeur.

A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean stated that passengers in 67 staterooms were ‘re-accommodated’ from the July 12 sailing

The cruise line has apologised for the inconvenience and offered a full refund and a 25 per cent credit to those affected.

The Grandeur left Bermuda yesterday and headed back to Baltimore in the US.

She is next scheduled to call on the island at 3pm on July 28 for another two-night stopover.

Keeping with the cruise line theme — the Celebrity Summit and the Norwegian Breakaway return to Dockyard today.

While the Norwegian Dawn is the solitary visitor to the West End this weekend.

Tomorrow the tanker Berceo will call into the Oil Docks in St George’s to bring in Liquid Propane Gas for Rubis.

And the Bermuda Islander is due into Hamilton at first light tomorrow.

Finally for this week the Oleander will be returning to New Jersey with some precious cargo.

It’s easy to think that the container ships simply bring in goods and produce to the island.

But they also take equipment, containers and animals back to the US for people leaving the island.

Yesterday the Oleander loaded three horses on board the ship in specially adapted containers to be transported back to the US.
