Logic focuses on patriotism in new ad campaign
Are you proud to be Bermudian?
Logic is banking on a new ad campaign that focuses on its Bermuda roots and ties to the community as it offers a high speed Internet and long distance bundle.
The company made the announcement last week as Telecom Reform in Bermuda continues to march forward.
Shire Litwack, account manager for Logic, said the company has made some changes as it competes in the new era.
“A lot of people, especially if you’re expat or if you have family away,” Ms Litwack said “this is really good because people want to spend one price and know what they’re spending instead of paying nine cents per minute or 18 cents per minute or whatever it is.”
“We’re finding people want the one and done. It gives them to put some things on one bill.”
Ms Litwack said Logic has not begun to heavily advertise the plan, but will be doing more in the coming weeks.
“We’ve been a little laid back on the pricing war, because, obviously, we’re not competing price wise, just because we’re completely Bermuda-based and we are Bermudian funded so for us to go down in those rates is impossible”
She said that was why Logic is striving to have added values to its plans and stressing that this is a Bermudian company as opposed to some of its competitors who might have outsourced call-centres, or have overseas entities financially backing them.
“We’ve moved the help desk back to the island and we do want to keep everything Bermudian.”
Logic’s current ad campaign stresses a patriotic theme and has lines such as “Bermuda born and raised, Logic is here for you” and “Proud to be Bermudian”.
The current help desk hours are 8:30am to 7pm on Mondays through Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays. The help desk will be manned by eight Bermudians.
“It was outsourced but people want to speak to Bermudians on island. It’s nice when you call and they are using the same thing you are.”
The ad campaign stresses “We’re bringing back our help desk so your calls are answered by a voice you know” and “With Logic you’ll always get those familiar greetings” hinting at the very Bermudian “Good morning, good afternoon and good evening.”
