Bermuda's women football team got off to a flying start this evening thrashing Greenland 5-1 in the Island Games.
The home team rarely looked in trouble against the white shirted Greenlanders.
They always looked dangerous in attack and grew in dominance as the game progressed.
It was Cheyra Bell who sent the Bermudian side into half time one nil up with a well executed chip.
And after the break it was almost all one way traffic.
They were unlucky to have a goal disallowed just after half time, but Teshana Wade needed no second invitation when she pounced on a bad back pass and slotted the ball home.
Greenland hit back from a corner to make it 2-1 shortly afterwards.
But it was brief respite for the visitors as Akelya Furbert, Aaliyah Nolan and Jessica Furtado all got on the scoresheet.
It was a convincing win for the home side in front of an enthusiastic crowd and a great way to start their Island Games campaign.
