The Chewstick Foundation is reintroducing its Neo Griot sessions with the music from popular Bermudian singer Zion (Desta Zion) Wilson and his new band The White Boys.

Chewstick describes Zion’s music as “deeply moving” and “soulful”. Zion is no stranger to Chewstick having entertained audiences there for years. He has been living and performing in London gaining experience and broadening his fan base. He will now be playing his repertoire for the first time with the new band.

A Chewstick spokeswoman said: “Not only is he freshly back from London with renewed verve and dynamism, but for the first time, he will be performing his repertoire with a band — the show will include his original compositions and an awesome twist on well know covers. Zion is here for a very limited time so you DO NOT want to miss this... there’s no telling when he will come through again.”

Tickets for the 9pm show are $20 with part proceeds in aid of The Chewstick Foundation. Advance payment can be made at Chewstick Headquarters on Court Street between 2pm and 6pm.
