Young bowlers top the averages against the UAE
Overs: 17
Wickets: 4
Runs conceded: 71
Average: 17.75
Economy rate: 4.17
Notes: The only unqualified success of the tour. Four wickets at just under 18-a-piece is a superb return at any level.
Coach Gus Logie would like him to shave a little bit off that economy rate but young Kelly did his World Cup chances no harm in the two games he played on this tour.
Ryan Steede
Overs: 37.4
Wickets: 2
Runs conceded: 161
Average: 80.5
Economy Rate: 4.27
Notes: Took a pounding in the third game where he and Hurdle bore the brunt of some aggressive UAE pinch-hitting but other than that he bowled tidily throughout.
Coach Gus Logie suggested he didn't get the wickets he deserved for his bowling performance in the opening game.
But despite the lack of wickets, he kept things pretty tight and won't be too unhappy with the way he bowled.
Kevin Hurdle
Overs: 29
Wickets: 3
Runs conceded: 126
Average: 42
Economy rate: 4.4
Notes: A mixed tour for Hurdle, who did not have the workload he might have expected as Logie tried out his fringe seamers.
Performed well in the opening game taking an impressive 2 for 13 but struggled in other matches, where he went for upwards of six an over. Still appears to be Bermuda's most reliable bowler.
Jacobi Robinson
Overs: 12
Wickets: 2
Runs conceded: 66
Average: 33
Economy rate: 5.5
Notes: Played three matches but didn't really get enough chances to impress with the ball. In two of those games he bowled a total of just three overs.
When he did bowl he was reasonably penetrative but relatively expensive. Hard to judge on just 12 overs.
Saleem Mukuddem
Overs: 22
Wickets: 3
Runs conceded: 99
Average: 33
Economy rate: 4.5
Notes: Picked up a couple of wickets in the first game but, like many of the bowlers, lost his stride later in the tour. Was also a touch expensive.
Dwayne Leverock
Overs: 20
Wickets: 2
Runs conceded: 78
Average: 39
Economy rate: 3.9
Notes: Involvement in the tour was restricted by injury but when he played, he did okay.
Remains one of Bermuda's most reliable and consistent performers.
Janeiro Tucker
Overs: 19.5
Wickets: 5
Runs conceded: 110
Average: 22
Economy rate: 5.6
Notes: Tucker used himself as a bowler more than he might have expected, perhaps because he was operating as a more effective strike bowler than any of his front line seamers.
He was pretty expensive going at almost a run a ball but took five wickets — more than anyone on the tour.
Hasan Durham
Overs: 25
Wickets: 2
Runs conceded: 102
Average: 51
Economy rate: 4.08
Notes: Durham, like most of the bowlers, didn't distinguish himself one way or the other. His figures were okay but not spectacular. Like the rest of his colleagues he failed to put enough pressure on the opposition by taking wickets at regular enough intervals.
Jim West
Overs: 12
Wickets: 0
Runs conceded: 44
Average: N/A
Economy rate: 3.67
Notes: Like Jacobi Robinson, West got few chances to impress on this tour. He will have been disappointed not to take a wicket but his economy rate was pretty good. He needed more overs to make a bigger impression.[[In-content Ad]]
