The West completed a clean sweep of the youth all-star games at the National Sports Centre on Saturday.

Under-11s

First Micah Perozzi inspired them to victory over their counterparts from the east in the Hiscox U11 game.

Perozzi, who scored 32 and took one wicket, was MVP as his side completed a seven-wicket win.

The East batted first and scored 104 all out. Rai Simpson was the top scorer with 24 and Osagi Bascome contributed 23.

Then Perozzi and Chakote Wainwright Basden, who scored 30, eased the West past their victory target with seven wickets in hand. Jacobi Butterfield earned the play of the game award for a diving catch.

Under-14s

Winton Woodley and Kamel Easton were the stars for the West in a 92-run win in the BSG U14 All-Star Game.

Woodley scored 18 with Shaquille Jones (16) and Kamel Easton (16) contributing to a huge total of 149 for six.

The East were then bowled out for 58 with Woodley picking up two wickers and Easton taking 3 for seven to win the MVP award. Chikosi Baden took a one-handed catch to claim the play of the game award.

Under-17s

Tre Govia smashed 63 while Brian Hall scored 43 and picked up three wickets to lead the West to a 23-run win in the BF&M U17 All Star game.

Govia's knock helped the West post a total of 169, batting first. Aaron Logie, son of national coach Gus, took four wickets for the East.

Then Damon Collins (2() and Lateef Trott (23) set the East on their way to the victory target. But MVP Hall and Tre Manders, who also took three wickets, reduced them to 146 and a 23-run loss.[[In-content Ad]]
