Recent Denton Hurdle Award winner Justin Donawa led the West End Warriors to a 52 run win over St. George's Preparatory in the primary school cricket final. West End were sent to bat and scored an impressive 100 runs in their allocated 20 overs. MVP Donawa led all scorers with an unbeaten 50.

Antonio Darrell helped out with 13 runs. Kervin Merino led the St. George's bowling taking three wickets for eight runs. St. George's couldn't figure out the West End bowling and were bowled out for 48 runs.

All-star game

The West beat the east by 10 wickets in winning the second annual Middle School All-Star cricket match with another recent Denton Hurdle Award winner also claiming the MVP award. Warwick Academy's Greg Maybury led a solid West team to a convincing victory.

The East team was sent to bat and scored a modest 73 runs led by Dellwood's Dante Grant with 15 runs.

Saltus' Jalen Harvey spearheaded the west attack with 3 wickets for 12 runs in 3 overs. Saltus teammate Aaron Logie claimed one wicket for 10 runs in five overs and Maybury took 1 wicket for 9 runs in 5 overs. The West had no problem reaching their target with Maybury and Joshua Gilbert of Sandys in fine form scoring 32 and 27 respectively.[[In-content Ad]]
