Walk in unity this election, not hate and division

FRIDAY, SEP. 28: A force, or concept, that is just as powerful as unity is the force of division.

Yes, as great and majestic as the power of one or of unity is, so is the power of disunity or division.

Psalm 133:1: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

God desires that His people reach a place of unity, because unity is the trigger that unleashes a flow of goodness to God’s people.

Battle

Unity is so powerful that it is noted as a prerequisite to receiving all that God is and all that God has for you.

Therefore, it stands to reason that Satan must command an atmosphere of disunity for all that God is not.

Satan must unleash a barrage of hate, division and fear in order that his passion of lies, deceit and curses are the only option that people have left.

There is such a battle for the minds and souls of mankind: Good versus evil; love versus hate; and hope versus despair.

Who will win the battle for the minds of mankind?

Will there be unity in a positive way, allowing the flow of God’s blessings, or will there be unity in a negative way, allowing a hellish atmosphere to reign?

Each person must make a daily decision as to whether he or she will strive to live in a place of unity with God or disunity with God.

Those who refuse to choose actually do make a choice, by default.

Genesis 11:6: And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

This is a sad example of unity, which resulted in a mindset with which God was not happy.

In unity, the people built something of their own accord, which they thought would help them reach up to God.

Mistake! Error!  No human being can become a god; no human being can build something of his or her own design and reach God.

No, there is a difference between the work of God and the work of mankind.

When unity of mankind results in actions that are anti-God, the results will always be ineffective communication and ineffective progress.

Negative unity is that which builds anything that God has not authored.

Let me stress that unity, whether it is positive or negative, is very powerful indeed.

If one person or a group of people push a negative idea and another person joins with that negative idea, it will result in negative unity, which yields negative results.

Note that Bermuda is in full election mode.

Most of what is communicated is negative, and there are plenty who will jump on board the negative bandwagon. Hence, it spreads like a virus gone wild.

Here is where I encourage others to remember that Jesus walked in a specific brand of unity.

No, Jesus was not in unity with all. No, He had too many enemies for that.

Instead, Jesus was in unity with God and therefore, Jesus sought to be in unity with mankind, one person at a time.

Jesus touched the lives of persons, but it was mainly one person at a time.

Unity is powerful, and the blessings of godly unity cannot be beaten.

When Jesus met a person in need, He asked him or her about his or her faith level, so that a place of unity could be reached.

Once it was acknowledged that he or she had faith to believe, unity was reached, and God commanded the blessing in that situation.

Bermuda, blessings await us. God is waiting on us to be at a place where His blessings flow.

Rather than succumb to negative unity, live to exude goodness and the ability to walk in positive unity.

Blessings abound.
