Understanding God's purpose for you

By Rev. Dr. Maria Seaman- | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

Anytime, a person is about to walk into purpose it involves a plan. That is, God has a set time and a set method by which your life will unfold.

The plan of God is perfect and without fail.

It is so important for God's children to understand that God does not have the capacity to fail. That is why His people must move forward even when it looks like things will not work out.

It is not the responsibility of persons of faith to make things work out. No! By the mere fact that God's Word admonishes you to walk by faith and not by sight, you have a God-given mandate to walk out; to walk beyond; to walk ahead; in spite of what may be seen as obstacles.

Genesis 12: 4 "So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran."

In the above mentioned scripture verse, the key to the whole plan of God unfolding without failure is the first part of the verse, "So Abram departed." If Abram had never left the plan would not have unfolded. If Abram had doubted the voice of God, then the vision that God had for his life would have never come to fruition.

You know the saying, "prior planning prevents poor performance."

So what's the plan here?  Well, you might say that Abram did not have a plan; the brother was on the move, with no plan.

Well, here again we must stop and correct ourselves. Abram had a plan. It wasn't deep. It did not need the approval of any planning department.

His plan was to simply obey God. My God! What a move! Yes, Abram was leaving and it looked to the natural eye as if Abram must be out of his mind. Yet, the faith-fact is that Abram was simply following the plan of God.

The plan of Abram was wrapped up entirely in the plan of God. Outside of God's guidance, Abram had no way of knowing how the plan would work out. Abram's plan was completely contingent upon God. God, you said it, and whether I believe or not that settles it. So Abram lined up with the master plan.

Yes!  You must understand that God's plan is fail-proof. God doesn't even know how to fail. That is why you trust God. God is omniscient -He knows all. When you understand the supernatural awesomeness of God's Word, of His plan, and of His purpose in your life, you then adopt the mind of God in all matters.

That is when you understand that God can tell you to walk somewhere that you have no knowledge of, but you walk anyway. When you finally get to the place, you know you are home because God had already set everything in place.

In no way would God cause you to leave a successful plan to fail in the next place. Every level of living this life goes from glory to glory when you live by the Spirit of God. You can be assured that with God there is another level of success waiting for you.

 I wonder how many

families in Bermuda are willing to leave their current place in order to occupy the blessed and promised place. Perhaps some families are living outside of the will of God and need to decide to walk in God's ways.

How many persons are seeking a land God has already spoken to them about? Are you hearing the voice of God? Are you obeying the voice of God?  God's plan will "kick-in" as you covenant with Him to go where He calls you to go.

When you walk by faith that is when you will witness the results of your walk. Abram was blessed after he departed. Consider what you must leave or where you must leave in order to experience the blessings of Abram. Respice finem.
