Under-19s lose by 102 runs to Namibia
The schoolboys hardly seemed in this match as Namibia didn't lose their first wicket until they were on 52 and there was a brief spark of hope for Bermuda when the opposition were on 3-85, but a fourth wicket stand of 72 had Bermuda reeling again.
Hope was a cruel temptress again as Bermuda quickly sent Namibia from 3-153 to 6 for 159, but the African tailenders pushed on to 224.
Vice-captain Malachi Jones played a starring role again as he snatched four wickets for 31 runs in his 10 overs. Jordan DeSilva added two more wickets to his haul as he gave up 45 runs in 8.3 overs.
Rodney Trott took two wickets and Tamauri Tucker snagged one.
Opener Terryn Fray fell LBW with Bermuda on 10 and the island struggled from there. Fellow opener Regino Smith had 24 with Malachi Jones leading the batting with 30.
Rodney Trott (16) and Deunte Darrell (11) also reached double figures.
The team will open its World Cup campaign on Monday against Bangladesh with matches against England (Tuesday) and Ireland (Thursday).
