Trust in God and He will guide you through the storm
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30: Sometimes it may seem as if God has forsaken you.
It may even seem as if all you have lived for has vanished right before your eyes.
You may think that your life has come to a sad end. However, I want to encourage you to hold on to what God has spoken to you, and bring to your remembrance the promises of God.
Acts 27:42 And the soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.
43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:
44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
For even though all looks lost, you can be assured that God knows exactly where you are and what you are going through. He has His eye on you. If God has ever spoken a Word over your life, you can be assured that God’s Word will come to pass, as long as you remain obedient to Him. So, in your moment of despair, place the vision of God’s Word to you before your eyes.
When Paul was on board the ship that met up with a sudden storm, he could have given up.
To some on board that ship, Paul was no more than a condemned prisoner.
They thought that Paul was deserving of death. However, God had another plan.
God spoke through the storm to Paul, who then spoke in the storm to those on board. Paul assured them that no life would be lost. What a word to receive during a storm. No life shall be lost! Hallelujah! It looks bad; it feels bad. It is bad. Yet, God has spoken a Word of purpose.
The ship was broken apart, but the separate parts of the ship became a floating refuge to some. As some could not swim, they were able to float on broken pieces.
Bermuda, God has the unusual ability to cause you to float on pieces. A ship that has become wrecked has made a way for someone who would have perished, except for the broken pieces.
Bermuda, God will give you a broken piece of something to sustain you in the storm and cause you to make it to dry land.
It may be the board of joy, or a piece of a board of vision. Perhaps it’s a board of recounting how good God has been to you in the past.
God will make a way for you to live to tell the story of how He caused you to make it through the storm. Why? Because what God has for you is for you. Welcome to your future!
