Traffic diverted from Middle Road, Southampton today

TUESDAY, AUGUST 24: Traffic will be diverted off Middle Road in Southampton today between 2:30pm and 4pm.

Island Construction will be in the area of Five Star Island to remove a van that went over the embankment early this morning.

A 42-year-old man lost control of the van at 2am and drove over the embankment. The man was not seriously injured, however the van was extensively damaged.

This afternoon traffic travelling west will be diverted onto South Road in the area of Fairmont Southampton. Traffic heading east will be diverted from Middle Road to South Shore Road.
